Would any of you ladies mind telling me the brand of long arm machines you have that have the BSR on them?
only bernina machines can use a BSR. that stands for Bernina Stitch Regulator.
I have a Nolting with a stitch regulator. But it isn't called BSR
I have an APQS with a stitch regulator.
Gammill's have a stitch regulators also.
I have a Voyager with SLR (Stitch Length Regulator)but I started with a domestic sewing machine and learned how to regulate my own stitches & speed before I got the Voyager.
You do know that you can buy a gizmo called Quilter's Cruise Control for many, many different machines and frames? Also, the Grace Frame company has some kind of control for their frames and many different machines. |
Bernina stitch regulator is a foot that attaches to your Bernina machine. A laser measures the movement of your fabric, and calculates the speed of the needle movement. It still requires a little practice to achieve outstanding results.
Gammill Long Arms use a system of two wheels that measure the movement of your machine. Those calculations control the needle movement. This system is more accurate and a little easier to master! |
EIQuilter, I have a APQS Lenni with a stitch regulator, too. I'm just learning to quilt on it, tho. I do FMQ. I really do like it.
