How in the world did some of the ladies at the royal wedding keep their hats on? They were on the front of their heads or hanging off the side. They must have been glued to their hair or something. (and WHAT were some of them thinking when they picked them out??)

I think around here hats are a lost art:)

No kidding. If I were Kate and my friends and family showed up at my wedding with those goofy hats I would be upset. Guests at a wedding are not supposed to upstage (is that the word) the bride. It was tasteless. It was a wedding not a costume party! I just saw a little of some of the wedding clips, so I probably missed some of the hats.

Combs.
And the whole idea is to fascinate, hence the name "Fascinators." ;-) And I don't think they upstaged the wedding party at all. Kate has worn numerous Fascinators. Plus hats have a totally different rep in the UK than here in the US. |
Got me. But my mom said that the ladies were supposed to wear hats to the wedding so...

alot of the hats had combs on them that you slip into the hair , combs gawd i have not used one in years, when was the last time you used one?

Hat pins work too. I love hats & love to see them come in style :)

Fergie's daughters had the worse looking hats. The blue and the beige.

Hats were required inside the abbey for respect.
