Thank you for sharing. I juststarted binding a baby quilt. The pocket idea sounds great and easy. I am going to use it.

I just did this....but after I put on the binding I ironed the binding then I did stitch in the ditch on the top side. It came out GREAT!!! Very easy...ok...I just I don't mind binding now.

Think I'm gonna try it on my next one! Looks easy enough to me! Lot less time consuming than hand stitching the binding! Thanks for sharing

Thanks. I just put it in my "favorites" for future reference. I'll be needing it by the first of July and will give it a try. Has got to be better than what I'm doing now.

Thanks! This really helped me!

When you do the "pocket" thing with the binding, is there a raw edge along the original cut edge of the starting of the binding?

cwo3112 05-08-2011 05:50 AM

No, she turned the raw edge under 1/2" before she started sewing.

Tried it once and adopted the method immediately! No more struggles :-)

Thanks so much! I'm just about to tackle my first binding and this really cleared it up for me.
