Hello everyone, I am so excited to be here. I have done some patchwork and I do love it. But with absolutely no fabric shop anywhere near here it is hard to keep up. I have been stashing up on fabric whenever I see a fabric shop. I am Thorhildur, a 48 years old stay at home mother ( I work about 3-4 hours a week at my brothers garage doing the books). I have three kids, twins (boy and girl) 15 years old and a boy who will be 11 on Wednesday. For as long as I can remember I have been doing crafts of all kinds, I have to try out everything new I see. My partner is a fisherman and he is away much of the time.
Have a wonderful day.
Thorhildur in Iceland.

Halloo Iceland!!! What a great opportunity this site is -- we get to know each other, and we are sooo far away!! Your life must be very different from ours -- I live in Tucson, AZ -- where summers get to be around 100 - 120 F. TOO HOT for me!! we are hoping to move to Utah, where we would live near the mountains, near a lake, and where there are truly 4 seasons and the weather is much more temperate! Do you have terribly short summers? We have been watching some PBS shows about the volcanoes in Iceland, and how they are watching them (it?) closely because it is due to erupt. Hope you are far away from that!!
Welcome to the site! I am sort of new, myself! But it is so fun and ... well, kind of addicting to see all the wonderful things the ladies here create!! And you will learn sooo much!! Welcome aboard!!
