Okay, this should be my last update, as I am weeks away from actually quilting it, but I added the two borders, and I am pleased with my results.

Thanks again for all the encouragement. A family whose home was destroyed during our wildfires will get this quilt...in fact, each family member will get a quilt from our guild. I like to think a teenager may get it, but ....who knows.

There were no strips left for the borders, so I just used fabric from my stash and my sister's. I think what I ended up with works well. (We got grab bags of "stuff" to make challenge quilts out of. For me, this was a challenge, way out of my comfort zone.)

Thanks again...

Nice and bright, looks great with the white sashing. I am sure it will be appreciated greatly.

I think it looks more "framed" by using a fabric stripe rather than bits and pieces. Lovely job. Whoever will get will be happy.
