You NEVER know what might be on the table for dinner around here. This morning something caught my hubby's attention out the dining room window...a huge snapping turtle coming up the hill from the pond. Big enough that one of my chickens would have been his dinner if they had been near. He decided to invite him to our dinner table.
What did I think? Not horrible, not wild tasting, not tasty at all. Sum it up,,,I told him he didn't need to go on any big turtle hunts anytime soon. |
I have a neighbor that LOVES turtle. No thank you, I'll pass:)
|
I;ve heard that turtle is good, but don;t think I want to try it.I;ll stick to chicken
|
I don't think I could eat it....
My son had a box turtle for a pet for 19 years. She sat in a big tank on his dresser, looking down the hallway. She would sit in her water dish and all you would see were her head and her front arms, and she would check out everything that was going on. And she LOVED chicken... I can't believe it, but I actually miss her. |
Ewwwwwww!!!! Nope. Can't do it!! Nope nope nope nope..

=( but that's just me.
I've tried turtle soup, but I couldn't taste anything b/c i was thinking about which turtle i was eating. i'm a dork. i have over 150 stuffed/decorative turtles in my classroom... |

I most graciously relinquish my portion of turtle should I ever be invited over for dinner. ;)
