Hello everyone my name is Delta Phillips and I am from Pansey Alabama and I am new to this forum and to the quilter's board. I have been a member for more than a year now and I have been one of the "lurker's" and I must say I am very impressed with all of the beauty that I see here. I have made what I called a quilt once before and all that consisted of was a picture panel from my local walmart a twin size cheap blanket and a plain flat bed sheet , I rolled the edges and sewed them closed and then I proceeded to take yellow yarn and tie it to keep it in place so when it was washed it did not bunch up , I gave that to my husband and it has been every where with him from Alabama to New Hampshire and now it is worn out, lol, but he still uses whats left of it. I can not wait to get in and get my feet wet I love the art of quilting and I think in some places and families it is a dieing art. I hope to get to know as many of you as I can and make lots of new friends.

Hello from Maine. Sounds like it's time you replaced his quilt. There's some really nice looking patterns and techniques being shown so you should be able to find something. The string quilts look like they'd be really easy to do and you wouldn't have to quilt it afterwards. That's what I'm going to try first.
