I just finished my first quilt (yes I posted a picture in the picture section). I have such mixed feelings. Happy, proud, disappointed, etc........

How do you all feel when you finish one?

If I've spent a fair amount of time, I'm grateful that I can move on the the next project. Usually I'm just happy that I have finished another one and it wasn't sitting in a box for years and years.

due to my lack of expertise, there is usually some disappointment. however there is pride there that i actually finished it :)

Yes, I am disappointed because I made LOTS of mistakes. I'm learning.

You should feel proud that you completed it. They are not mistakes, if you have done the best job for your ability, experience and skill level ... and learn something from the parts you are not so happy. As you look back on your quilts, they will tell you the story of your progress!

Relieved to have the quilting behind me and happy to feel the warm from the dryer quilt all done.

Usually I am just happy to have it done...but...I always have things I would do differently. Basically, I learn with each and every quilt I make.

Usually I am happy but the last one I have shown some dissappointment.
