I had to take the pics with flashlight (already dark over here) and the colors look much brighter than in real. Maybe some of you know the fabrics.
I got the idea from a quilt a friend of mine bought years ago (massproduction and a bit poorly made but still very nice) and I was worried about all this bias sewing but the top came out very square.
I will add binding in the same yellow fabric and cut the width back to only slightly bigger than the inner yellow border.
The size is 102 x 102 and as I plan to handquilt it, I wont be able to show the finished quilt for quite some time.
I hope you like it.
Granny

The dresden plates and the diamond stars are machine pieced and needleturn appliqued to the background squares. The border is in seminole technik.

Beautiful Granny - is this machine pieced or english paper piecing?

Wow, that is a beauty to behold. Hand quilting will only enhance it. Great top and work. Thank you for sharing it.

I really love your quilt, I bought the background fabric for a dresdan plate today and you've made me want to get right on it. Thanks for sharing.
