Anyone ride their motorcycle to Quilt Class with their sewing machine and quilting bag strapped onto the seat behind you? My wife does it every chance she gets. Here are photos of her heading out this evening.

Wow, what a way to travel! Nice bike! Only one small question - where is her helmet?

No Helmet!! Gah!

when i had my harley in florida, i used to carry my knitting machine on the back of my bike. and i used to go grocery shopping on it... one day the bagger followed me out because he couldn't believe that i could get all of that on the bike - 3 bags and a backpack.

Helmets not required in Oklahoma. Quilting Class is just a few blocks away. People seldom wear them around here, unless they're riding at highway speeds out of town.

Your a gal after my own heart. Now, I still need to learn to ride. Right now I just sit and enjoy the ride. I am not sure if I want to give that up just yet. If I were to get my own bike I would have a trike. Those are amazing! I am a scant 5' 3" I am not all together sure I could hold up a bike. lol
Many bikers do not like helmets. They take their risks...and honestly helmet verses concrete...concrete will win anyway. |
My Motoguzzi and BMW motorcycles have sidecars. Great for stuffing a lot of quilting stuff.

Yup--the concrete wins----I never went ten FEET without a helmet......and leather and denim jeans. Just one tipover taught me that lesson. Gravel is pretty painful if you dump the bike--so is concrete!
