Wondering how many quilters have scleroderma.

One of my aunt's had it... I have fibromyalgia... both are autoimmune diseases. While I am not diabetic, I do have neuropathy in my hands and feet. One of my greatnieces now has scleroderma...
My Aunt Shirley was a hairdresser and first noticed that her hands would feel asleep. She would stop working and shake them to get the circulation going. Later, the skin on her cheeks got hard... oddly tho, her face went back to soft after a while - maybe it was the medication. She died of brain cancer, tho. Thank God for good doctors and good meds! I hope your question was just rhetorical, and that you don't have it. Hugs.... |

Have been fortunate that it's been relatively mild all these years. Glad that your aunt's facial skin soften. There have been cases where its gone into remission. My doctor wonders how I can keep quilting...told her I'm stubborn ... I'll keep doing whatever I can as long as I can. I just gave her a quilt! :lol: :wink: :wink: :wink: |

I think quilting is good for both the mind and the body! Anything we love doing is bound to be a benefit! Hugs!!
