I learned to quilt last May from my very crafty sister-in-law who though it would be fun to trick me into quilting. I went to her home and saw some fabrics she had picked out to produce a Double Irish Chain quilt. I told her if she made the quilt I would buy it from her because it would be perfect in my bedrooom.

The next day she called and asked me if I would like to HELP her make MY quilt. I said "As long as I don't have to sew!!!" She thought to herself "Not Yet". She is too funny every time she talks about me.

Well a year has passed and I finished the Double Irish Chain quilt and it sure DOES look great in my bedroom. I have since produced over 20 quilts and have not looked back.

I have purchased six, count them, SIX old Singer sewing machines. Three featherweights, two table models and a Spartan 3/4 machine have joined me on my quest for craftiness.

I have eyed this board for the past several months and have come across many ideas and helpful hints. Thank you all so much!!!!

All I can say is W O W! You have done over 20 quilts since last May? Do you ever sleep? I will say you have been bitten by the quilting bug for sure! I use to get probably 4-6 quilts done a year & that was with me machine quilting them myself. I've probably done around 30 quilts total over the yrs! I admire your get up & go! But I do want to welcome you to the quilting board, love your name! Very catchy & it must be fun to have a sil to quilt with! I use to have a cousin that we talked, did quilt shopping but never sewed quilts together. That would be so awesome to have someone to sew with. Keep up the good work! Can't wait to see pics
