Here is a quilt made from reproduction feedsack fabrics. I hand appliqued the butterflies and machine quilted the quilt. I used "charm squares" for the outer border. I thought this was a good way to show off my 1930s fabric collection all in one quilt :-)
I also made a matching pillow sham. The pillow has an opening in the back and holds a standard sized bed pillow. |
Love it!! Butterflies are one of my favorites!!

That is so very pretty. I never know what to do with my fat quarters of repos. Thanks for sharing ideas.

Your quilt is beautiful. I may have to make one with leftovers from a 30's print I made a while back. I'll add you picture to my list. Where did you get the patterns for the butterflies? Are they online?

How did you make the pillow? I made a folded dahlia and want to make it into a pillow but be able to take the pillow form out and replace with different covers as I make new ones. I don't have much wall space so this is another way I can show off what I make lol.

Such a pretty "spring" looking quilt. I love the butterflies. You did a great job!! Was this a pattern or did you do them free hand? crafty_linda_b

Those repro fabrics worked beautifully for the butterflies. I like your different borders and the fans in the corners. I really, really love it!
