I'm thinking about hinting at one for Christmas, and I want to know what everyone thinks about them. Is there a lot of waste? Is one better than the other? The main thing I want to do is cut up scraps into manageable sizes, tumbler blocks, etc. I only do applique on small projects, and I don't know that I foresee myself doing a whole lot of it in the near future, so that's not a factor. Suggestions on good dies to start with?

I sold my Go. Took it to the LQS and she sold it for me. I'm hoping to save up for the Big Shot Pro Westminster someday-it takes all the Go dies plus sizzix dies and some Studio dies.

I like my GO. I can cut strips in a fraction of the time. What you get depends on what you do the most; strips or shapes.

I probably won't do a lot of strips, I'm more interested in small squares, the tumbler blocks, diamonds, and HST's. I am looking at a quilt pattern that has lots...and lots of 2 1/2" squares, and I just don't have the time to dedicate to cut so many squares.

Love my GO! So glad I purchased one.

I love my go. just used it to cut the binding strips for a queen size quilt. made my daughter a tumbler quilt, have the wedding ring quilt dies to make a quilt for my daughter. I really like it cuts down on time.

How is the waste? Would you say it's about normal?

I do some precutting to eliminate the waste. It takes a little longer, but I use my go because I have carpel tunnel and can't cut fabric.

I am glad I got it.

very little waste....I really enjoy mine.

You'll love it for cutting scraps - and you'll gradually figure out how to reduce waste to almost nothing. Look for the tutes on YouTube.

It's 'stiff' at first, but after you've used it for a while, it 'rolls' easier and easier. Don't give up!!!
