Howdy from Oak Ridge North, (a little north of Houston). I have been quilting for about 12 years. Mostly self taught, with alot of help and tips from my friends. I went to work in a quilt store 12 years ago, and that was the start of my new venture. I have sewn all my adult life, and never thought about quilting, but when I watched the customers come in and play with fabric, and then seeing the finished product, I dove in head first. I got all kinds of tips and help from my workmates--They had so much patience with me--(had problems with the 1/4 in. instead of 5/8 in. I used sewing clothing) I will be forever thankful to all of them. Even customers helped me. I am so addicted now and love it. We have a 5th wheel and even have a machine in it. My hubby is so good, when we travel, he asks me to check my quilt store book, and see if there is a store I want to stop at. He's very supportive.
I love this site and look forward to it everyday.. |
