Hi everybody! I'm from MI. Still kinda new to sewing. I basically taught myself, by making denim throw quilts out of material I had available. This is a hobby I took up while being a full time caregiver to my husband for a few yrs. I love it. Don't know why I put it off for so long. Along with quilts from upcycled materials, I like to make tote bags, etc. I found this board while trying to find some trouble shooting help. I just picked up a vintage White 764 sewing machine. She's a beauty. I have a huge issue I need help with however. When I plug it in, it's already sewing, needle going up and down, full speed. This happens when I plug it in to the knee control, and when I plug it into an extension cord directly. I am hoping this is a simple problem to correct. Any ideas? Should I post this question under a different topic? Thanks in advance.

Nice to be here :)

Welcome to the board from Southern California!

Billy is one of our resident Sewing Machine experts. Lostn51 I think is his name.
