I'd love to see pics and know what you think of it.

Wow! I had never heard of this machine, but did a Google search on "images" and came up with a lot of pictures! Sure looks interesting!

Yes, they are neat looking. A couple are offered for sale near me, but I'm full up right now.

I have one but don't know how to thread or use it. No manuel with it. Can anyone help with this?

GJoyce, I just joined the group. I'm having the same issue with my machine. No manual to reference either. I just had my vigorelli repaired with a new belt and cleaned but haven't figured the thread pattern yet. Any advice from the other group members? Thank you in advance.

Yahoo has a group for Vigorelli/Borletti.

I don't think mine qualifies as vintage yet but I have one my mother bought new somewhere between 1979-1981. It's all metal and a workhorse. I've had trouble finding someone to work on it and finding replacement parts. I lost(misplaced) all of the assessor use in a multistage move, in the next little move I found the box of assess prices but I lost the power cord/foot pedal and the owners manual. The threading is pretty straightforward on it. I hang on to my vigorelli thinking I'll magically find a replacement foot pedal one day. Mine is a solid machine, portable table top model. It has only needed servicing once and that was after the 500+ mile move. If you want a picture of it I can post one tomorrow I have a family gathering tonight and won't have time until then.

Of course I ran off to look for pics; which one do you have? How about this ad I came across? http://www.artifiche.com/cms/front_c...cle=899&lang=2

It is probably of the same vintage, And I am in the process of making it work for a living

See this blog entry I made back when I got it.

http://my-apartment-workshop.blogspo...-together.html

I had to manufacture a new motor control unit and connecting wires for the Vig.

Now I need some instructions on how to thread it and get that foot and feed mechanism going so I can sew a straight seam for beginning to learn to sew.
