Hi everyone. My name is Jackie and I am new to quilting. I learned to sew when I was a teenager and have recently taken up the hobby again.
I always have shied away from quilting as it was very intimidating to me.
I finally finished one recently and now want to do more.
I guess I've been bitten by the bug.
I'm looking forward to reading as many posts as I can so that I can gain some knowledge and maybe pick up a few tricks along the way.

Yellow Brick Road was my first as well. I took a Quilting 101 class and that was the pattern. Welcome from Connecticut. What part of Massachusetts are you from? I'm from Manchester/Vernon area, near the Mass Pike in Sturbridge.

Sturbridge and Charlton have great quilt stores.

I am from Dudley (which borders Charlton and is very near to Sturbridge) It's hard to find good fabric stores and you are right that Charlton and Sturbridge have some nice ones. A new store opened in Auburn about a year ago called That 1.99 Fabric Store. YES. everything is only 1.99 a yard. I've picked up a lot of fabric there for the "stash"
