I stepped onto my deck this morning and saw this in my neighbor's back yard. Is it just me, or do those look like beehive boxes?? I sure hope my neighbor is NOT getting bees. I am not in the country, this is a neighborhood filled with children. My husband is EXTREMELY allergic to bee stings.
Sigh. I guess I'd better get on the phone to the county. |
How about walking over there and just ask?

they don't look like any bee hives I have ever seen.

I don't think they look like bee hives either. We kept bees for years, then we moved, and can't have them. Still have the hives and other equipment. If we move again we'll try to go somewhere we can have bees again.
Based on the picture, that looks like a very small yard. I would not want the hives (if that's what they are) that close to the house. I think they will also cause a problem with the swimming pool. Well, just showed the picture to DH. They could be beehives. He also said that would not be a good location. Perhaps they have a place to put them that is more in the country. |
Why create trouble when you are not sure if there is any? Find out from them before you get anyone else involved. Is their home.
|
Looks like some drawers they're going to build in. Looks like some my late DH made outside for his storage building, then dragged them in and nailed them together.

are you the same neighbor that turned us in for growing vegetables in our front yard? ;-)
|
Now, this is why we moved into the woods & have 40 acres. If we want to have bee hives or grow a garden or start a pig farm we can.
I second the idea of walking over & talking to them. Get to know them a little bit before you sic the gov on them! |
Is that a dog, laying in the doorway?
|
It does not appear to be so but you could go and aske your neighbor.
