Well here it is finally!! I have posted before about the tiny piece quilts (wall hanging size) that DH makes out of 5/8" squares.
http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-79481-1.htm He had always thought about making a full size quilt with these, and after having a stroke in 2005, he decided "it's now or never" - he wanted to prove he was tougher than the stroke. He spent over 2000 hours (he figures) cutting the pieces from scraps with scissors, and sewing them together (all on an 1878 treadle). I spent over 1000 hours handquilting it. He would like to sell it to a collector, and is offering a very generous finders' fee to anyone that produces a lead that results in a sale. |

Wholly Molly!! Wow, what an accomplishment!! Have you checked to see if this is some sort of record for a quilt with the most pieces???? Bless his heart for his determination!!
