Just came upon this website. Actually was looking for information/advice on purchasing a new sewing machine and am wondering if anyone has had experience with a stitch regulator used in free motion quilting. They look VERY expensive and wonder if anyone has used one. If, so what brand, any problems, your recommendations???
Actually, my preference would be for a machine with a built-in stitch regulator but I've been told that the only way you can have this option is as an add-on to an existing machine. Is this true? Thanks in advance for any and all responses. |
don't know anything about those, but i do want to welcome you

Welcome from Dallas, Texas.
I have a stitch regulator with my Bernina. I haven't used it as much as I thought I would but I think it is because I haven't done the practice that I need to do. I need to just do it but I've been procrastinating. |
Welcome from NE CA. Sorry I can't help with the regulator, but I'm sure someone on board can.

I don't have any experience with those, but would like to send a big Canadian welcome! :)

Welcome from Clear Lake. You will love this site!
I do have a BSR (Stitch Regulator) attachment with my Bernina and have used it a lot the last couple of years. It does take practice getting used to (which I am still doing/learning) but I love it. I would hate to free motion without my BSR. Judith |

Hi and welcome from GA.
The only machine that I know of with a stitch regulator is the Bernina. I do not have one, but have sewn on one and it is WONDERFUL!!! Would love to be able to afford it! |
