. My sister recently died and my son-in-law made a CD that they played at her memorial made up of pictures. I have the CD but want to take the individual pics to make a memory quilt. I can't get it to open and let me download the pics. Any suggestions?

Sorry to hear about the passing of your sister. I lost my sister in 2001 & it is still hard to deal with.

Can you open other pictures on your computer or are you having a problem with just the new disk with the pictures you want to see?

Ask your son-in-law what program he used to create the CD and if he created it with administrative (or creator) locks. Or better yet, ask where he got the photos. Maybe he can send the specific photo's you want to you in a format that you can access on your computer.

I can open other pics. I think my problem is that it is restricted. I can view the DVD but can't put it on my hard drive. I think I will just have to get the pics, and they will be cleared that way.

My step-daughter and her talented DH made a long CD of my DH's life pictures for his wake, and very talented step-son wrote and made the music, but it will only open on a TV. I can't get it to open on my computer.

Could that be what's wrong with yours? Did you first see it on a TV or on a computer?

I saw it in the church. I believe it is copy protected and he wasn't aware of what I was wanting. I will get back to him and the next time I am down there will put them on a thumb drive(assuming he has them on a computer.)Thanks for the input.
