Can they climb up a brick wall. Several have been spotted around our apt. complex. I am on the second floor, but some one told me they could climb up the brick wall and onto my balcony. I have never heard of such but thought I better ask.

Eeeeeeeek! Like I don't have enough nightmares about snakes  I can't even look at a picture of one. They scare the bajeezus out of me

Yes they do climb, they even wrap around the verandah support posts to spend the winter in our roof. It is now spring so they will be out and back down the posts. Just love country life.

Buy an owl for your balcony and move it every week or so. I live in FL and the owls help a lot around the ponds on the golf courses - just like the farmers use. My son in southern FL had snakes in the landscape pilings and they came out every time he mowed his lawn. I bought two owls - one plastic one for the back yard and a fancy metal sculpture one to hang in the tree in the front yard. They never saw a snake again. Honest!

Co-Op has something called Snake-A-way, its a powder you put down. I've never used it but someone must...
