I posted here about problems I've been having with the Dizzy Geese block. I took your advice - I got all 4 of the practice blocks I made out of the corner where I threw them in frustration and really analyzed the problem. It seemed that each block had an issue with the star points. So it was clear that it was that portion and not the whole block. I fiddled with it and TA DA!!! I finished one and while it's not perfect, it's pretty darn good and I am just tickled pink. I think I'll make one more practice block to perfect that section and then I'm going to start on my own Dizzy Geese quilt.
Thank you so much for your suggestions, they really helped. |
wow! love the colors and design.

Well that looks perfect to me! You don't need another practice block. I really like your color choice, too.

Wow. That is impressive, love the colors too.

very pretty, looks complicated.

I'm impressed. Good job on a complicated block!

Thank you so much. I really don't think I would have persued this but the remarks I got on my first post helped to see that there's always a solution.
Funny thing is, that section (the star points) are made from templates and yet, that's the section that was off for me. And it was off in every single block I had made. My quilt will be a Christmas quilt and sort of similar in tone to this one. Since this one turned out well, I'm going to make it into a pillow and a Christmas gift will be done! Again, thank you so much for your help with this. I've loved this pattern for a while and was really stumped. Not anymore - I'm ready! |
Looks good to me, well done for persevering.

Congratulations! It's beautiful!
