:) Hi, these are the first four quilts I've made...it is quite a progression.
Made this back in high school. Had NO clue about quilting, barely knew how to sew, but wanted a comforter with the world on it...could not find one, so I decided to make it. :) about 10 years ago now (wow, so long!). this project revealed the importance of planning out the final size...wide enough for a twin, but about 3 feet too long. second quilt, made 3 years ago, using some of my batics and other fun fabrics. it is reversible, with large black, gray and white with silver pinstripes on the back for hubby Wall-E quilt for my daughter. started this one last year, finally finished this august back of wall-e quilt close up of hand print block...the green thread is the outline of dd's hand that she traced herself. she forgot her thumb, and drew it on funny. i was going to fix it, but she was three and I decided that that was what she gave me, so that is what I used. the yellow thread is her actual hand that i traced and the newest one for newbie, 2 months old today |
