I have a chance to get a Janome New Home 9000 sew/ embroider machine with 30 memory cards. I know nothing about this machine. Is it good -reliable- Do you like yours? I looked on internet but you people are the best source of info. Can you advise?

I've had mine for 13 years. I wouldn't part with it. I wouldn't pay a huge sum, though, as they're pretty outdated as all computerized machines get with age....and a very small design field. That being said, my main machine is in the shop and I've been using my Janome 9000 and Singer 319 the last two weeks and it really is a very nice machine.

I had one for many years and I loved the machine. The embroidery was great, the FMQ was great and regular sewing was great. It is truly a wonderful machine. I don't have it anymore, but for a good reason ---
A friend of mine in the Air Force borrowed it every time he had to put new patches on his uniforms and he LOVED using it for his patches. The quality of the stitches and the sewing speed control made it easy for him to attach the patches. I offered many times to just put those patches on for him, but because the military is so strict about how the patches are placed and attached, he wanted to do it himself. He is such a good guy that after his third deployment to the Middle East I gave him the machine a a welcome home gift.
