I drove 45 miles to the house that my daughter and husband have at Devils Lake, and dug out the dinnerplate dahlia root, to winter at my house. I pot it early in the spring, about March, so when the frost is gone, it is a well started plant. This took me all of 10 minutes.

But my really big project was to put down self sticking-12 inch squares of linoleum tile under the kitchen sink. I had noticed the last time that I was up there, she had raw wood under the sink and up the one side wall, and I thought of these tiles, that I had picked up at the thrift store. They cost me $5, for the box of 45 tiles. I didn't know what I would do with them, but just couldn't pass them up. This took me about 2 hours, with fitting around the 3 pipes, the corners and matching the seams. But sure am happy with the results, as is my daughter.

This is what the area looked like before I started

Here are the tiles that I laid down. It will be so much easier to wipe out and keep clean.

Looks great!! I lined all my cabinets with self stick tiles. I love how easy they are to clean. I used my rotary cutter and rulers to get them cut all nice and straight!
