What would you suggest? PLease!
My co-worker and I are planning on making a quilt for our boss for Christmas! Fishing, bear, cabin theme. What pattern could we use that would show the pictures well? Any help is appreciated. Something fairly quick, as we will only have a few weeks to get this together before he & his family head to the cabin!

How about snowball?
|
Churn dash for 'picture frames' and plain contrasting squares between?
|
I was thinking "snowball" until I read the other posts. I think the "snowball" would look nice. But the "churn dash" would be great too. I don't think you could go wrong with either one.

I like to use focus fabrics with the 'I Spy With A Twist' pattern.

You could mix it up with the Bear Paw block and if possible, toss in a border of Prairie Points as well.
|
Sometimes easy is best. If I have blocks that are nearly the same size, I divide the blocks into 2 sections.
I pick two fabrics and cut into 3" strips and put one color around each of the sections, and go every other one. It gives a good look to a t shirt quilt. enjoy |
A Log Cabin pattern would work well. Using your focus fabric as the center block(s)
And using coordinating fabrics, light/dark for the logs. Plus this pattern goes together quickly. |
How about Attic Windows? I've seen some made with that fabric and they are really beautiful.
