For my Momma and Daddy for Christmas. Done!!
 

I'm officially done with Christmas presents :thumbup: as of 1:34!! I asked back in June or July about how to finish this quilt for my parents because my mom had started to quilt it by machine and it being her second or third quilt, she found it hard to wrestle through the sewing machine. She told me it was too big for her machine and I asked why she didn't send it out to finish it but she said it was too expensive.

So in July (right before a heat wave) I pulled it out of the back of her closet and took it up to my room intending on finishing it by hand. That lasted about 2 nights. Fast forward to November and I started up again with a plan on how to finish it by Christmas with a week to spare. By thanksgiving, I realized I was about 2 weeks behind in my plan and started quilting in earnest every night ahead of schedule. I finally finished it today but did the outer borders by machine and did the flowers by hand.

Now I just have to wash it and figure out how to dry it without them seeing it because that will ruin the whole thing! My camera battery was running low so only 2 pics!

You did a nice job on this quilt. Your parents are going to be very pleased and proud of you
for taking the time to think of them and getting it done.

Beautiful quilt, your Mom and Dad should be very happy, but I have a feeling that little fur baby sitting on top of it is going to be very disappointed. Hope you have a surprise for her/him. Have a glorious christmas. God Bless.
