What a wonderful gesture. I really like your layout. I know she will treasure it.

I really like the way you have put this together and can't wait to see it all done!! Looks like your kitty has worked up a hunger hopefull helping you in a good way...lol

Great job! T-shirt quilts are a real challenge anyway you look at it. I have done a few but only because they were commissioned. Not something I would do for myself! The printed parts are always different sizes and enough to drive you crazy. You've really done a super job with his shirts. Your friend will be thrilled with the results.
( Just a thought for you - in case you find yourself doing another.... I have always found that horizontal sashing helps out in making it all come together. This is NOT a negative comment on what you have done! Being able to make rows and then sew the rows together has worked for me. ) |
I recently completed a t shirt quilt for a friend. There were 20 something shirts. It turned out pretty good but I will NEVER do another one. I tied it and that was hard to do also. Yours is very nice.

Looking good!! Such a nice thing to do. She is lucky to have a friend like you.
|
I think the layout looks good.
|
Looks good to me so far, I like the blue you set it together with.
|
I also just finished my first t-shirt quilt. I loved doing it. LOVED IT!! Wish I had more t-shirt quilts to do. My customer was going to give it to her son. When she saw it, she hugged it and petted it and said she was keeping it for herself. I was so pleased. It was fun to work with the varying sizes of blocks. I hope you enjoyed making this one as much as I did. Yours is great. It will bring such pleasure to your friend over the years. Thanks for posting the picture.
