My Hot Bowl holders

5 Attachment(s)
I didnt take a pic of each step as it is not needed,,,and I hope this works..

SUPPLIES...Two 10 inch squares of main fabric
Two 9 inch squares batting (warm and natural is safe in microwaves)
Two batting circles cut around cd or dvd (this is just to add a bit more substance to bowl)
Ruler
If you dont have this ruler, make a mark 1 inch on each side of line and connect...I dont know how to add photos with text between so I will just post the pics for your reference,,,I hope this will work for you..Draw cross lines five inches from edges of fabric and draw center using disk as guide...quilt as desired...sew in darts and trim to reduce bulk...following pics,,,stack the two halves right side together and sew around, leaving an opening to turn.Turn and poke out corners,,,top stitch ,closing opening. You are done!

Great tute! Just one question ... there isn't a picture of layering and sewing. Am I correct in assuming you just put right sides together, stitch, leave opening for turning, clip corners, turn right side out, close opening and top stitch all around?

I always love your projects ... you are a very talented lady!

Well your tag line quote from your Grandma....Your gift to us was great pictures and easily understood directions! Thank-you so much!!!

Just one question someone mentioned in another thread that W&N has some polyester fibers and not to use it for Microwaves. I assume you have used and find the W&N to work well?
