HI my name is Jodie and I have recently joined this group. I work part time as an RN in a busy ED and also have 3 beautiful children, 16, 12 and 10, and a wonderful husband. Beetween them and work, I dont have a lot of time for sewing, but maybe this group will get me motivated. I am self taught but I have been doing patchwork and Quilting for a long time now. A couple of years ago, my daughter made her first quilt top... she was 8. I put it together and quilted it for her and she was so proud of herself! Now my middle son wants to make one! We have bought the fabric, some lovely flannel, but as it is summer here we will wait a bit longer to sew it. He made a large cushion for a personal project for the end of the school year. His teacher was very impressed.. as was I! I am now looking forward to reading more about this group. Cheers, Jodie

Hi Jodie! Welcome from Lebanon Oregon. I am also an RN working full time in a Dr.'s office! Sounds like fun with your children. My grand-daughter made her first quilt when she was 8 also, it was so much fun teaching her. Hope to see your quilts along with your children's!! Martha
