Fancy pin heads?
Has anyone made these? I know you glue beads to pins. Does any glue work better? What pins do you start with? Do you have a favorite one? Do you really use them, or are they decorative?

I got on here to see what answers you received. Because I was interested also.

I buy the ones with the beads already on them ]
... I don't have time to attach beads to individual pins. OMG, the amount of time that'd take to get any quantity at all! :) |

I have made a few fancy pins for decorative purposes only. I start with a nice corsage pin that has a nice large pearl oval bead at the top. I just used a little hot glue to attach the other beads. First select beads that have holes large enough to push to the top of the pin. After you have them selected, put a drop of hot glue on the pin shaft right below the pin top bead. Push the first bead into place and hold for a minute. You can then add as many beads as you like in the same manner. I made a few to display on a fancy victorian pin cushion that I made as a gift.
