Elgin model #2468

I recently ran across a Elgin Model 2468 machine. It's one of the smoothest running machines I've ever listened to. I haven't actually sewed anything with it until but today I plugged it in & I can't get it to do a straight stitch. It wants to zig-zag regardless of what I do. In the manual it states one might have to use the straight stitch cam but I'm not seeing one. I have a box full of cams but none are for straight stitch. Am I missing something here?

I had a cam machine years ago and there was stitches on each side. You may need to turn the cam over. Things have changed so much in the past years but that is what I had to do. Sandy

If you do not have the manual for your machine, you can purchase one at the above link.
