Quiltingboard Forums - New to this site

Just found this site today and already love it. I am no longer working due to health issues so I really needed a hobby to keep myself busy. I love quilting. I have been sewing for over 40 years, but just got into quilting this last year. I can't believe I haven't started this earlier than this. I have 3 grown children and no grandchildren yet so I really, really needed something to keep me busy and going. My husband built me a cutting table and built in drawers for patterns. I've always wanted a dedicated sewing room and now I have one. I have learned so much in the last few months. I am looking forward to learning more here and finding some friends on-line. Thank you to all of you in advance for any help you can give me. I will be reading a lot in the next few weeks so that I can really get going. I promised my children I would make them all a quilt before I die. Hope to talk to to you all soon on here.:)
