Isn't that odd?

I know the QB has listed 69K members.
42K have never posted one word
that leaves 16k+- that have a minimum of 1 post at one time.

some of us make up for the ones that have never posted:)

Funny, I was going through the member list just for fun and noticed so many people join and never post a word!!

LTeachergeorge 04-14-2012 05:50 AM

I didn't realize the number of "non-posters" was so large. From my experience, though, it took a question that I might have a viable solution for the fellow quilter to make me post the first time! :o

I guess some people are just not "talkers"!!! LOL!! But we would all benefit from everyone sharing!

MacThayer 04-14-2012 06:15 AM

I have to admit, I read more posts than I respond to on this Board. I learn so much! A lot of times it is a subject I know I don't have an answer for, but I want to know the answer, so I read the posting. Hopefully, a lot of those non-responders are doing the same.

Cherylsea 04-14-2012 06:31 AM

It seems that anything I do know the answer to has already been answered. Another thing is that a lot of questions are asked a million times and after you answer that question 4-5 times it begins to seem pointless.

the flip side is the average of 182 posts per actively participating member.

wouldn't it be great if all the lurkers came out at least once to give them a round of appreciative applause?

(ok. so it's "The Wave". They are still cheering. LOL)

Love your cheer leaders, I read QB almost every day, sorry to say I don't "talk " very much.

Dolphyngyrl 04-14-2012 06:55 AM

They'll do it in their own time I didn't post anything or look at the forum for the first year and a half when I joined, I just wanted the newsletter, but when I had fun with it one day I was hooked
