Difference? Janome 6300..6500..6600

Hi.. Can all you Janome owners tell me why I shouldn't buy a 6300, opposed to the 6500/6600.? I understand there are more stitches on the other machines, but seems like the 6300 would do all I would want. Also, another question. How does OUTLET sellers on Ebay sell the 6300 for $999. and the rest of the sellers price is $1199..Thanks for any input...

I'll be following this thread as I'm interested in the 660, but wonder if I can save a few bucks ans still get most of the features on one of the other two

I don't know about the differences, but apparently Janome will not honor a warranty unless you have purchased the machine from an authorized dealer.

I got a Janome 6600, and love it. The reason I chose that over the 6300 and 6500 was the bigger throat area (which makes a huge difference for quilting), plus the accu-feed system. I got mine from a dealer for $1299.

Ebay sellers don't have a shop, overhead or employees to help you learn your machine. And no warranty. Save a few hundred dollars now and pay that and probably more later in repairs etc. Beware...

I don't know what the 6300 is. I have a 6500 and it has the larger throat space. The 6600 is just like the 6500 with a few extra features such as the acufeed. It came out after I purchased my 6500 so I don't know much about it. I love my 6500. I really don't need anything else.

The 6600 has the accufeed system (built in walking foot) and it is wonderful! I do not sew without it (unless fmq).

Thanks everyone...Hope I get some more info about owners of the 6300....We have one Janome dealer within the area. Would love to deal close, but not so much with this one....

If you're willing to purchase a used machine (from people trading up, etc) from a dealer then you may be able to get a great deal! I picked up my 6600 for $1000 (including all attachments, etc) because someone had owned it for a year and then wanted to buy the Horizon.

You can compare the 6300 to 6500 - 6600 on the Janome website. Well you can compare in writing anyway.
I have the MC6500P that I purchased online from America-Sewing. com and I LOVE IT! Got a Great price. I have used several of the stitches but will never really use them all that much. With my machine, I did received the extended table and numberous feet including the walking foot at no addtional charge. Just besure to ask what all is included with the machine you are considering. I actually bought mine sight unseen except online. I have had NO regrets at all! Good luck in your decision.
