1954 99k

I was at an estate sale today and saw a beautiful 99K in really good condition for $10 dollars. The cabinet was awful but I am wondering if you can use one without the cabinet. The decals are perfect on the machine and everything works on it but the light is a bit touchy. Cords looked good. If I can run it without the cabinet I'd go right back and get it if it's still there. Any help?? TIA.

For $10 you should grab it. They do need support, but not necessarily a table. You can put it in a case also.

Hope you get it... and post a picture!

I hope it's still there if you go back for it.

I didn't get a chance to go back today but maybe tomorrow I will. If I get her I will post her pic

My 99 sews beautifully! So smooth and quiet! :)

You have to have a case or a cabinet, you can't just set it on a table and sew....I found that out after I purchased
mine.

Well it was gone. I should have gone back yesterday but I really hemmed and hawed about it. I suppose it just didn't grab at me like all my others (I have 9 vintage/antique ones already). Next time I will just do it!
