50% off at Hancock's Fabrics

Hancock's Fabrics is having a great sale right now. 50% off a bunch of cotton quilting fabrics and also a sale on some of their rulers. They also have an online coupon for an additional 15% off.

I just ordered 15 yards of different fabrics and a ruler for under $70! Amounted to about $4.60 per yard and they have a pretty good variety.

I'll try! I'm pretty new to quilting, so I'm trying not to spend way too much money until I'm sure that I'll stay with it. It's really hard though, with all the pretty fabrics out there!

I don't have a Hancock near me - bought a bunch of quilting fabric - I do a lot of quilts for hospice in my area. Thanks for the heads up.

I've never thought of doing quilts for hospice. Do you mostly do lap size quilts? I would really enjoy donating to our local hospice if they would take them.

Got a rotating Olfa rotary cutting mat at 30% off plus the additional 15%. Have been reading about those and want to try one. Had an extra 15% coupon (expires tomorrow) so gave that to the lady in line behind me. She was happy, too!

I usually make them 40 - 43" wide and 50" long. They love them. I also crochet. I started the program last summer in memory of my husband. This was the hospice program he had last winter. My crochet group has donated 112 afghans since July 1st of last year.

I'm fairly new to quilting. I do my grief counseling at Gilda's Club and they had a program to learn how to quilt.
