bridesmaid baby quilt
I was commissioned to do a bridesmaid baby quilt after somebody saw the idea on pinterest. The baby's nursery is being done in a brown giraffe print with baby blue zebra print accents. The dress is black.
A chevron quilt has been requested. I found some really cute giraffe fabric but am stuck on how to tie in the blue zebra. Any ideas? Initially I was thinking about doing the chevron blocks in the giraffe, black dress material and breaking them up with a solid white beween them with the binding and maybe doing the back in a baby blue solid. Any ideas? I haven't seen the baby's room so I have no idea how it's even supposed to look. :) I'm having a hard time imagining the giraffe and zebra print mixed together. Thanks for any ideas! |
how about a zig zag with the giraffe and black, then applique a blue zebra over that?
and welcome to the QB |
You could get regular black and white zebra and color the white part blue if you can't find blue zebra print. How about a black whole cloth quilt with appliqued giraffes and blue zebras on it?

Seems to me I've seen zebra print fabric in many colors recently, I can't remember where. I did a Google search for zebra print fabric. https://www.google.com/search?q=zebr...cs%3B350%3B350
And can someone explain what a "bridesmaid baby quilt" is? I'm very confused! |
You guys are awesome!
