Tumbling blocks
So... I'd like to make a tumbling block quilt. Made a sample the "regular" way. Then I found a youtube video showing Marci Baker making "Not Your Grandmother's Tumbling Blocks". Looks way more do-able.
Here's the problem... went to Amazon and learned I can buy a used book starting at $85!! Are you kidding me??? Do any of you know of another resource to get this book? |

the original book is out of print. [sure wish i could find my copy :( ]. but you can still get the pattern in a newer book of hers http://www.amazon.com/ABC-3-D-Tumbli.../dp/0965143961
still a little pricey. i'm sure i didn't pay anywhere near that years ago. |
Your local library or interlibrary loan.

|
Well... duh on me!
Of course, I'll check my library. |
If you go go Kaye woods site she as a tumbling block pattern and it is free to down load ( I only found that out after I had ordered the pattern
|
Google Marci Baker Tumbling Blocks and you'll get a link to her you-tube video.
She changed the world in the 1990s with this technique! Jan in VA |
Another one for the bucket list!

Jan, thanks.. that's how I stumbled across Marci Baker, with the youtube video. I work better with written/printed instructions. That's why I was looking for her book.
Checked with our library today. They don't have it, nor is it available through intralibrary loan. :( Hate to pay big bucks for these books. Kamaiarigby, I'll try the site you recommended. Again, I appreciate all your help and insight! |
