I am in the process of getting ready to sew the lattice/sashing to my quilt blocks. I would like to know if it's best to cut my strips on the straight of the fabric or the crossgrain. The quilt blocks will be set on point. I'm concerned with the bias blocks. Thanks, Tunie

Welcome from Southern California. I usually cut my sashing from selvedge to selvedge.

i would do straight of grain

The grainline running parallel to the selvedge is less stretchy than the crosswise grain of the fabric (cut selvedge to selvedge), so I'd cut the strips parallel to the selvedge. They will be the most stable when sewing.

Ig your blocks are all the same size, cut parallel to the selvage.
If you need to do some easing to make the blocks work, cut crosswise. |
Thanks for your quick reply! I appreciate it! Tunie

Tunie is a very unusual name. I once knew a girl by that name in New Mexico!! Welcome to the group!
