Who saves scraps of thread?

I know people save the tiniest of scraps, but what about thread? Is there any use for short strands of thread, say a few inches or less?

I save if a foot or more. Just shove needle and all into pin cushion for sewing a button or a small mend.

I have heard of people who save all their scraps of thread for an entire year then put them in a clear Christmas bulb and label it with the year it represents. Haven't tried it yet.

Oh, don't get me started! I have enough fabric and thread to last me two lifetimes without saving thread and salvages! There is a use for everything!

I do as mamaw dose with regular thread when I did a lot of machine embroidery I use to save the clippings for in the hoop projects.something like the thread bowls and like nammie said there is a use for everything but I just don't have the room to store much and if I did I would forget about it out of site out of mind...........

I save mine and it goes into a suet feeder and I hang it out side by my bird houses, makes a pretty nest!

My sewing room is already overflowing without saving thread and tiny scraps of fabric and batting!
