Do you have an accuquilt? Like it? Pro and cons please.

There have been numerous threads on this subject. Just put Acuquilt in the "search" box at the top of the page and you will find many reviews. I don't have one so I can't help you.

My mother just bought one...it just came in the mail. I talked with her and she was having fun using it..LOL I think for scraps it is good. I can't wait to take my scrap fabric down and cut them into squares.

She purchased it to cut into long strips.

I have a Go! With about 18 dies. I only use the hexagon die for my GFG on a regular basis. I have dabled with the other dies, but most of the time I prefer to rotary cut. However, to me it was worth every penny, even if I never use any die but my hex. I am on my second GFG and would have never made it thru cutting out the first one without my Go!

AccuQuiltGo is one of my better purchases...no regrets at all. It is easier on my hands to cut strips, squares, etc. more quickly and with accuracy. It is also great for cutting up the scraps in cutting scraps up.

I'm basically lazy, so the accuquilt suits me fine. I'm not rolling in dough, so I don't have but two dies so far.

I hesitated to buy one for a while. I discovered them on sale at JoAnn's and still walked away. When I returned to the car, my DH, who had been patiently waiting, asked why I didn't buy it. He marched in the store with me and bought it and the 2 1/2" strip die. It came with a starter set of dies. I have only purchased a few more dies and wish I had More! If I only used the strip die and some of the squares, it would still be worth it. I just cut most of my scraps in strips and various size squares and sorted in zip bags.

I keep thinking about getting one, but still haven't been able to convince myself that I need it.

It is a great tool for some things. I have one and plenty of dies, have had it for a few years now. It really depends on your quilting how useful of a tool it will be. Do you do a lot of strip quilts, definitely get one. Is it hard for you to cut with cutter or scissors--get one. Basically if cutting is some how difficult, painful, inaccurate, or just plain a pain if you can afford one get one. They can be a great addition to your quilting. I only get mine out about once or twice a month now but I do I make it earn its space in the room :-) 150 charm squares in just under an hour always makes me happy. Also, if you have embroidery machine there is software can be purchased from Accuquilt to go with applique dies. I will be using mine to cut Sun Bonnet Sue/Sam's out of my kids baby clothes and appliquing them on squares with embroidery machine and none of that could be done by me without the Accuquilt. Thanks everyone. I have a friend who is moving from Indy to Delaware and is selling a bunch of her sewing machines, supplies and fabric. The AccuQuilt is one of the things I thought I might be interested in.
