Want some info on my new Singer.

I got a beautiful 15-91 at an auction for next to nothing (only bidder). I would like some information about the cabinet and how old it might be. The machine is knee controlled because the foot pedal is up inside the cabinet. I was also wondering if the chair went with it?

the chair is not part of the set- other than it probably fits well under the cabinet. you can visit the singer site, enter the serial # and see what year it was 'born' my 15-91 was built in 1949. it looks like a nicely maintained machine. they originally came in a 'carrying case' so the cabinet is something an owner picked up & put the machine in. my cabinet looks nothing like your cabinet- older & not in such good shape. that cabinet looks a lot like the one my aunt's White sewing machine is in- she bought that machine back in the 60's- it is nice- a great buy- congratulations on winning the auction- they stitch the most wonderful straight stitch...

ISMACS has the cabinet listed as a #71. It originally came with a stool. I'd say the cabinet and machine are likely the same age.

Beautiful cabinet, and the machine looks nice too..You are one lucky lady. Enjoy

Congrats on your beautiful machine! I have one that I want to keep set up for FMQing, but love it so much I do most of my piecing on it also. Enjoy!

You got a good deal as that machine looks to be in beautiful shape and so does the cabinet. Those cabinets always came with a stool that had a lid that lifts and there is extra storage under the seat.

Congrats!! I hear the model 15 is very strong.... am still looking for one myself.

Thank you everyone. I ran the serial # and found out that she is a 1952.
