Bobbins for Husqvarna?

I have a Husqvarna 260 sewing machine &
wonder if I can use any other bobbin besides
the Husqvarna?? and if so, where to puchase?

The only thing that shows up on a Google search for Husqvarna 260 is a chain saw.

Unless your sewing machine is something very strange, it should take the regular old bobbin. I've got a 21 from the 50's and it takes the same bobbin as my 990 from the 80's, which is available all over the internet. Any Viking dealer should have them too.

Husqvarna machines will only take Husqvarna bobbins and all of their bobbins are not the same. You will need to buy them from a Husqvarna dealer as generic ones just don't fit. Husqvarna divides its machines into different "classes" and bobbins and some attachments are not interchangeable. I was really annoyed when I bought a walking foot for my Husqvarna Prelude 360 at $120 and then found out that it would not fit my Husqvarna #1 Plus. Their FM foot and the bobbins are not interchangeable either! So much for saving money because of brand loyalty.

I ran into the same problem when buying bobbins for my Husqvarna. Bobbins are definitely not interchangeable so make sure you check it out before you buy them. The bobbins aren't cheap either.

I don't see the 260 listed on thier site just 230 and 250. If you go to Vikings site, down at the bottom there will be a place to email hardware support, they should be able to tell you if you can still get them and where. I have the Viking #1 and it is different from the current Ruby and Diamond Deluxe (which bobbins are the same in) you can't use just any bobbin though. Normally Viking machines are grouped into categories, like the Viking #1 is in 1 and the Ruby and Diamond is in 7 so you would look for those numbers on the outside of the package to see if it fits but I don't see a 260 under any of the 7 categories.
