A nice Needlecraft, but I already have 2 very similar, still at $18 it was severely tempting, so I went back today and thankfully someone else bought it. That verifies that I'm not the only old sewing machine nut in town! A Dressmaker with all the atttachments, all the cams, the manual, everything still looking like brand new, but for $50, I passed But for some reason I couldn't resist this New Home 29 stitch zig zag XL-II model 900. Just because it will stitch little vines with leaves, and chain stitch, and basting stitch, and had all the snap on feet stored under the top cover. |
Awesome find!

Nice!
Sometimes I'm as happy something has sold that I go back to see - than for it to still be there. DH stopped last night to see if the Kenmore at the Goodwill was still there - someone bought it the day before. So that was good and bad, because we really don't need to start getting ones like that! Love the red on the New Home! |
$18.00 for a clone? I wouldn't have had to go back for it.
I wish my local Goodwills had machines like that. |
I would have been hard to pass on any of that. But another reason, I don't take that much money with me to the thrift stores! Still much better deals than what we ever have here in the thrift shops.

My thrift stores never have machines at all. Wow, 3 ! Congratulations on your new friend.

We rarely see sewing machines around Springfield in the thrift stores.
However I would have bought the NEEDLE CRAFT clone, I love that color. I would have run like crazy from the DRESSMAKER, that machine design is JUNK, JUNK, JUNK. Miriam had two or three, I had one and none of them were worth much more than boat anchors. The NEW HOME 29 stitch most likely would have stayed for someone else too. It's probably got plastic gears and other parts inside and I just can't accept that. But you can tell us how it sews in a report, can't you? Joe |
My goodwill is always devoid of machines. Great find! I would have been all over that Needlecraft in a heartbeat.

Awesome, our goodwill never has machines.

Usually GW isn't so good. Ironically that had an old Singer buttonholer in the glass case for $27, and an old Domestic buttonholer on the floor for $2.99? I noticed a nice $50 Spartan was& $15 Red Eye 66 were gone from St Vincent dePaul. I'm watching a nice later 66 down to $30 this week, $20 next week. I hope someone else snaps it up!
