Flynn Multi-Frame System

Has anyone purchased or had experience with the Flynn Multi-Frame System for quilting with your home sewing machine? It comes with everything needed for 48 inch width quilts but you can expand the width by buying recommended pieces at your local hardware store. It looks a little tedious but it seems like it would keep the layers tight and flat. Thanks!

I have one. I set it up on a 6ft folding table. It's does a good end to end pattern for me for fast quilting. It takes practice to get the hang of it. It won't break the budget to buy one. There are youtube videos how to use the frame.

A friend and I bought one a few years ago. I used mine once for a small baby quilt. I could have quilted it and been done with it by the time I got it set up. It looks easy, but is time-consuming. My friend has never used hers.

I have one. It requires some coordination to set up. I was having trouble with breaking needles while using it, but I'm not sure I had the quilt rolled up on it properly, in fact, I'm pretty sure it was not set up properly. I think I had the quilt rolling over the rollers, rather than under the rollers. I tried it for a number of baby quilts which were about 45 x 60". I bought longer poles for it, but haven't tried larger quilts.

For that size of quilt, it would be fast and easy to quilt on a DSM.

had one, got rid of it. I was not impresses at all. Easier to just do it on the machine.

Bought one but didn't like it....seemed cumbersome for me. Some people seem too okay with them. Just using the machine has been better for me.

I have one and use it for charity baby quilts, which is basically meandering. I also use it to baste quilts with water soluble thread when I want to do FMQ on my DSM
