I think some of the colors will be retired or not available. I have read rumors of the cotton cones not being sold anymore. Maybe a different size spool? The cotton cones has the same thread as the cotton spools and I doubt the spools are being discontinued. Or the price will be going up to make it so the cones will be too expensive. Just my musings on the subject.

I love those sales. I think I've got just about every color now.

I got mine ordered yesterday. Thanks for reminding me to order them while they're at a lower price. Their last sale I ordered almost 200 spools, 3 of each color plus some of their larger spools. Love the thread, just not the lint that comes with them. My machine loves them too.

It just hit me that Christmas is coming! I have two secret pals to buy for and I know they use CT thread. A pretty box filled with colored thread will be perfect. It's buying one gift and getting the second almost free. I'm all done with those presents.

Would I be able to use this thread in the cone on my regular sewing machine for piecing? I have a singer athena 2000 which is from the early 70's. Or would I be better off using the spools?
thanks Myra

I like CT's cones of cotton thread. I've been using it for years.

You need a cone thread stand, preferably an all metal one. The plastic type that JoAnn's sells isn't a good one. I bought my metal stand from this website: http://www.purplemoosedesigns.com/store.php?cat=32
