Tshirt Quilt
I am in the midst of my deciding on how to quilt my first tshirt quilt. I have several blocks that have been stabilized and sashed with minky. How do I quilt this? I am not going to put batting in between it, but a flat sheet as this thing is heavy enough and yes it will be warm.
What about the envelope method and tying versus quilting? I am just not sure what to do here as it stretches like crazy when I just look at. I know there will be good idea here, so I am turning to ya'll. Thanks for the help! |
You could do the envelope and tie it but if it is really stretchy, it may still be difficult. Are you using a flat sheet on the back with no batting? If so, I think I would lay it out flat on the floor and tie it.
When tying, place a marble under the backing so you can roll it around so the curved needle has room to go through and come back up. Once stabilized with the ties every 4 inches, you could then put a binding on. |
I am using the sheet as the batting. Thanks for the suggestions, I like it!
